PDF Downloads & File Storage

The App allows you to download ticket invoices and boarding tickets as PDF documents. Here is how file storage works:

  • On Android, PDFs are saved to the Downloads/AnnapurnaCableCar/ folder on your device's external storage. This requires storage access permission.
  • On iOS, PDFs are shared via the system share sheet. No files are written directly by the App — you choose where to save them.
  • Downloaded files remain on your device and are not uploaded back to our servers. We have no access to files stored on your device.
  • File names include the bill number for easy identification, for example: invoice-BILL001.pdf.
  • We do not track which files you download or how long you keep them on your device.

Notification Permissions

On Android, the App uses local device notifications to confirm when a PDF has been successfully saved to your device.

  • Notifications are local only — generated by the App on your device and never sent through an external push server for download confirmations.
  • On Android 13+ (API 33+), the App will request POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission. You may decline without affecting PDF downloads.
  • Tapping a download notification opens the saved PDF in your device's default PDF viewer using a secure content URI.
  • You can disable App notifications at any time in Settings → Apps → AnnapurnaCableCar → Notifications.
  • We do not use notifications for advertising or marketing purposes.

Information Sharing

Annapurna Cable Car Ltd. does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your data only in the following circumstances:

  • With banking or wallet service providers to process commission payments
  • With government authorities or regulators when required by law

  • In the event of a business merger or acquisition, where data may be transferred to the successor entity

PDF documents downloaded to your device are protected only by your device's own security — we recommend enabling screen lock and device encryption. No digital system is entirely free from risk. We encourage agents to use strong passwords and keep their credentials confidential.

We retain your personal data for as long as your agent account is active or as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Transaction records are retained for a minimum period as required by Nepali financial regulations. Upon account termination, data may be retained for an additional period for audit and legal compliance purposes before being securely deleted. Files downloaded to your device are not subject to our retention policy — they remain on your device until you delete them.

Your Rights

As an agent, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements
  • Update your commission payment details through the App or by contacting support
  • Withdraw consent for data processing where applicable
  • Revoke notification permission at any time via your device settings without affecting core App functionality
  • Revoke storage permission at any time via your device settings, understanding this will disable the PDF download feature

Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party payment providers (such as eSewa, Khalti, IME Pay, or banking institutions) to facilitate ticket payments and commission disbursements. These services operate under their own privacy policies. Annapurna Cable Car Ltd. is not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party providers. We recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies.

The App requests the following device permissions and uses them solely as described:

  • Storage (Android) — To save PDF invoices and tickets to your Downloads folder. Never used to access your personal photos or other files.

  • Location — For operational and security purposes per Annapurna Cable Car guidelines.
  • Camera / Media — For profile picture upload only.
